INTERIOR PAGE DESIGN & LAYOUT SERVICES

Interior Page Design

If you've purchased our Standard Set-Up and prefer to leave your interior page design to us, we're proud to offer some page designs for you to choose from. Our designs include all the standard page elements -- title page, copyright page, table of contents, running heads, pagination, part titles, chapter heads, acknowledgements, and an About the Author page -- and you can pick and choose among them as your book requires.

We will lovingly place your Microsoft Word, Open Office, Google doc, or rich text file (unfortunately, we cannot work with WordPerfect files at this time) into the design you choose. We then go page by page through your entire book to make sure it looks beautiful.

If you purchase one of our Interior Designs, we will give you an unbound set of your pages for you to review. After you've marked any edits on those pages and returned them to us, we will input them into the file before printing. Once you have your printed proof in hand, you'll have one more opportunity to check your manuscript, and to make any minor changes that do not alter the page flow of the book. We will give you the final inDesign file, and the final .pdf, once the process is complete, so you can use them anywhere else you need to.

Because of the labor involved, interior design usually takes about a month. It is currently available only for text-based books (no cookbooks or poetry collections), in our standard trim sizes (6" x 9" and 5-1/8" x 8"). We ask for payment of your interior design before we begin work.

Interior design prices are as follows (word counts include front and back matter):

• Under 50,000 words = $250
• 50,000 - 100,000 words = $300
• 100,000 - 150,000 words = $350
• Over 150,000 words: please contact us for a quote
• Photo placement in text = $25 for up to five photos
• Slight changes may sometimes be made to the designs for a small fee ($10-$30, depending on their level of complexity). However, no font substitutions may be made.
• Additional design alterations and corrections to the text, beyond those made in the unbound pages and the one printed proof, will cost $25 each time. This fee is for up to 10 edits that do not effect text flow.
