Poets Chiwan Choi, Marie-Elizabeth Mali, and Jon Sands
Chiwan Choi is a writer, editor, teacher and publisher. He has been a
member of the Los Angeles Poets & Writers Collective since 1989. His
poems and essays have appeared in numerous journals and magazines,
including ONTHEBUS, Esquire and Circa. His first major collection of
poetry, The Flood, was published by Tia Chucha Press in April 2010
Marie-Elizabeth Mali is the author of Steady, My Gaze (Tebot Bach,
2011). She is a co-curator of louderARTS: the Reading Series and Page
Meets Stage, both in New York City. Her work has appeared in Calyx,
Poet Lore, and RATTLE, among others. www.memali.com.
Jon Sands is a full-time teaching and performing artist. He is the
author of The New Clean (Write Bloody, 2011). He's a CUNY adjunct
lecturer, as well as Director of Poetry and Arts Education Programming
at the Positive Health Project (a syringe exchange center in Midtown
Manhattan). He travels nationally and internationally to read and
teach poetry, but resides in Brooklyn, where he makes better tuna
salad than anyone you know.
