Paul D. Miller (a.k.a. DJ Spooky) in conversation with Donovan Hohn
The Book of Ice is part of DJ Spooky's multimedia, multidisciplinary study of Antarctica. Environmentalist Bill McKibben says: "A rare mind encounters a rare place--this is an entirely new take on the bottom of the world, very cool (but getting warmer)." Donovan Hohn's book Moby-Duck examines the loss of thousands of bath toys lost at sea, and part of the book is set in the melting Arctic. Nathaniel Philbrick says "like the novel from which it has borrowed at least a portion of its title, Moby-Duck is a far-ranging, delightfully narrated masterwork of adventure, science, exploration, and much more." Hohn is features editor at GQ.
